2014 quarterly SWIF Meetings & Pot Luck confirmed!

After hearing SWIF  ladies concerns, I thought it would be best we have quarterly meetings in order  to brainstorming for new events ideas, concerns and simple pot luck fellowship. Feel free to bring your best signature dish for the meetings. Now here are the confirmed dates for 2014 which will always fall on the first Sunday of each quarterly month hence please circle your calendars for the following dates:- Jan 5th, April 6th, July 6th, Oct 5th.

Movie Night Dec 7th at the Cottage

TIME: 6pm Dinner 7pm Movie

Women In Distress visit was truly humbling!

Just want to thank the ladies who helped and served with us at the Women In Distress residency on Monday Nov 18th 4-7pm...it was truly a humbling experience and surprisingly fun... seeing the kids eyes light up, running around playing, enjoying the simple meals we had brought over then the gift bags that seemed to overflow with blessings...we were being blessed by them truly! In all true sense of the word "FABulous" was in motion (Faith+Action=Blessed) this evening! ...

Good day ladies...it's that time of the year again with cocktail parties galore! Now pardon me in advance for drinking that one extra glass of bubbly since I'm going to be a year older! lol ..however no worries, I'm going to be in SWIF company! :0)

Witnessed The 'Bridge' between First Pres & First Baptist today!

Firstly i would like to thank Pastor Brian Webb of First Baptist Church for his gracious hospitality and invitation for me to attend his luncheon on Oct 5th with a wonderful speaker by the name of Bonnie Bonomo and it was a lovely surprise to see another SWIF lady Carol there too! :0) we witnessed a beautiful 'Bridge' for the glory of GOD! Bible Study, a birthday party, an opulent Gatsby party, oh my!

Once again a great bible class taught by Rev Connie...message today was about adopting courage thru adversities knowing that GOD is simply teaching one to work out one's muscle of faith! Id also like to thank Egmondt Fine Bakery www.egmondtfinebakery.com  for their delicious sample of pastries and breads delivered within 45 minutes notice for our bible studies! A wonderful and humble owner who has just started his bakery a few months ago! We were even blessed with a wonderful 85th birthday celebration for the ever so lovely Peg Cochran at Sage restaurant. I for one am thankful for being part of such a wonderful church family. As for last night...well Mr. Savor's mansion Gatsby party for the FLIFF opening night was simply fabulous!!! Oh how I love the roaring 20's!
